THE OBJECT-BASED SYSTEM
The first task when designing a kitchen is to organise the volumes of the kitchen itself in space, placing bases and columns in relation to spatial and functional limitations, and the architectural characteristics of the project as a whole. At this point, the kitchen is still not a definite design and has no name. Only the general layout exists, based on the limitations and general characteristics of your project. The next step is to complete the composition, determining the type of door to be used, giving shape to the upper portion of the kitchen with wall units, adding counters, snack bars, extractor hoods and appliances, and choosing colours and materials to make the project complete.
All of these components are “objects”. Each with its own distinct personality and design. And each with a different use of materials, a bold, clearly defined personality and superlative build quality. An approach to design unlike anything else normally seen in the kitchen. An approach with a fresh new awareness of form and substance. And, of course, with the extraordinarily high quality of a Rossana kitchen.
